How to check or restart nagios service

Checking Nagios service status and/or restarting the nagios service. 

1. Checking the status of nagios service using the following command:

# omd status
Doing 'status' on site nagios:
mkeventd:       running
rrdcached:      running
npcd:           running
nagios:         running
apache:         running
stunnel:        running
xinetd:         running
crontab:        running
-----------------------
Overall state:  running

2. Restarting nagios service.

# omd restart
Doing 'restart' on site nagios:
OK
Removing Crontab...OK
Stopping xinetd...OK
Stopping stunnel...waiting for termination...OK
Stopping apache...killing 54173.................OK
Stopping nagios...not running...OK
Stopping npcd...OK

Failed
